How many floors is the building on? Is there an elevator?
The main building has 4 floors, the ground floor and three upper floors where the Comfort and Lake View rooms are located. The secondary building is on two floors, where the Superior rooms and the SPA centre are located. The two buildings are connected internally. Yes, there are two elevators.
Do the rooms have a balcony?
Yes, all rooms have a balcony except those that have a garden (Superior, ground floor).
Is it possible to smoke in the rooms or on the balcony of the room?
Smoking is forbidden in the rooms and in the common areas. Smoking is allowed on the balcony of the room and in the external areas of the hotel, always respecting the other guests.
Are connecting rooms available?
No, there are no connecting rooms.
Is air conditioning available in the rooms?
No, but in the summer season and on request it is possible to have a fan in the room.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 15:00. Check out is before 11:00 am.
What are the reception hours?
From 7:30 to 22:00.
Is it possible to check in after 22:00?
Yes, but please let us know in advance.
Do I have a charge at the time of booking?
With the “Pay at the Hotel” rate you will not be charged any amount. With the “Pay Now” rate from the time of booking until your arrival you will be charged the full amount. Please always check the rate conditions at the time of booking.
Can I cancel a reservation?
Yes, within 4 days before the arrival date (12:00 noon) for the “Pay at the Hotel” rate. If you choose the “Pay Now” rate by cancelling the reservation, no refund of the stay will be possible.
Which credit or debit cards are accepted?
Maestro, V-Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Postcard, Rekacard
Are there a gym and/or wellness centre in the Hotel?
Yes, the hotel has a wellness centre with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation rooms, treatments and a gym.
Is it possible to enter the SPA naked?
No, bathing suit is compulsory. You can enter the sauna and Turkish bath without a bathing suit, but always with a towel to put underneath.
Is it possible to bring animals to the Serpiano?
Yes, your animals are more than welcome on the Serpiano! The cost is CHF 15 per day/animal.
Does the hotel have a Concierge service?
No, we do not have this service.
Is there a laundry service available?
Yes, for a fee.
Is there parking? If there is, do I have to pay for it?
The hotel has a large free car park in front of the entrance.
Is there parking for buses?
Yes, the hotel has free parking for buses.
Is it possible to reach the hotel without a car?
Yes, it is possible to reach the hotel by train to the Mendrisio railway station and then continue by Postbus. The direct ride to the Hotel entrance is available twice a day. At more frequent times you can reach Meride, the village before Serpiano, always by Postbus and walk to the Hotel (about 4 km) or use our private transport. For information on timetables visit the section “How to reach us”. You can also reach the Hotel from Brusino-Arsizio with our cable car, whose mountain station is 1 km from the Hotel.
Is there a luggage room?
Yes, guests can deposit their luggage at the reception free of charge.
Which is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is in Mendrisio, which is about 11.5 km by car from the Hotel.
What is the dress code for the restaurant?
Casual. Clients are asked to always wear appropriate clothing for the restaurant with respect for other clients.
What are the closing days of the restaurant?
The restaurant is always open.
What are the breakfast, lunch and dinner times?
Breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00. Lunch from 12:00 to 14:00. Dinner from 18:30 to 21:00.
What are the hours of the bar?
7:30 to 10:30.
In case of allergies or intolerances?
We pay special attention to any allergies and/or intolerances, which we ask you to always inform us about. On our menu are easily recognizable dishes that adapt to the various allergies, and our chef is always ready to satisfy every need in case the proposals do not fit your needs.
Are there menus dedicated to vegetarians?
In our menu are indicated which dishes are vegetarian and which are vegan. We always offer vegetarian proposals.
Is it possible to book bicycles?
Yes, it is possible, both for normal bikes (free of charge) and electric mountain bikes (for a fee).
Is it possible to maintain our bicycles?
Yes, we have bicycle maintenance equipment and also a bicycle washing station.
